Scribe.Quest is still being prepared for release. These notes describe the current app and this website. They are intended to make the choices around campaign content, cloud processing and sharing clear.

Your device holds your campaign

Campaigns, transcripts, recaps, reference pictures and completed images are saved on your device. Speech is transcribed on the device. In Discord sessions, voice communication also passes through Discord as part of the call.

When you use ScribeAI

ScribeAI sends the relevant text, campaign context and selected reference images needed for your request through our Azure service to OpenAI. We do not write those request contents or generated results to durable server storage, and do not keep a server-side campaign archive.

A finished result may stay in server memory for up to five minutes so the active app request can recover from a lost connection. Delivery confirmation removes it sooner. This temporary recovery depends on the original server process remaining available. OpenAI’s separate data-retention policies apply to content sent to its API.

Account identity, purchase validation, credit balances and billing metadata are stored separately so purchases, restores and charges can work across your devices. “No server-side campaign archive” does not mean that no account or usage records are retained.

Your provider is your choice

You can control ScribeAI cloud processing in the app. Other available configurations include a compatible endpoint or supported on-device models. External endpoints have their own privacy practices. Turning off cloud processing does not remove access to content already saved on your device.

Share a session, keep your private space

A shared session bundle includes the selected finished session’s transcript, recaps and illustrations, together with campaign context, characters, glossary entries and their reference pictures. It excludes private Scribe conversations, private generated images and prepared scenes. Recipients keep their own imported copy. Files sent through Messages, AirDrop or another service are also subject to that service’s handling.

This website

This marketing website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, signup forms or browser cookies. The interactive examples run in your browser and do not send campaign requests. Audio previews play only after you choose to start them.

Our hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical access information, such as IP addresses, request paths, browser information and timestamps, to serve and protect the website. Fonts and artwork are served directly from this site.

A note for your table

Make sure everyone knows when a session is being captured or connected to cloud services. Your group’s comfort with recording, sharing and AI is part of setting the scene together.
